All of the money raised from the Stoke by Nayland Christmas Fayre goes towards supporting the patients and families cared for by St Elizabeth Hospice.
Over the past 29 years, St Elizabeth Hospice has helped thousands of people living with a progressive illness, such as cancer, motor neurone disease, parkinsons and heart, lung and kidney disease. The money raised from the Stoke by Nayland Christmas Fayre will help its doctors, nurses and therapists continue to provide the best possible care and treatments to improve people’s quality of life.
More local families than ever before are in desperate need of hospice care, and this need is only going to grow.
St Elizabeth Hospice is extremely grateful to the dedicated and hardworking committee who organise the Christmas Fayre every year and to everyone who supports and attends the event. Your support and generosity enables the Hospice to continue to provide vital care and support to around 2,500 patients and their families each year.
There are many other ways you can continue to support St Elizabeth Hospice, including joining the lottery, visiting one of their 30 shops, taking part in or organising your own event, giving your time to volunteer, and many more.
St Elizabeth Hospice is an independent charity which provides its services free of charge. To do this we rely heavily on the suppoort and generosity of the local community in East Suffolk and South Norfolk. It currently costs £10.5 million a year to run the Hospice.
Each year we receive an NHS grant of around £2 million. That means the remaining costs have to be generated through fundraising and donations.
There are a variety of ways people help us reach this target, including joining our weekly lottery, visiting one of our 30 Hospice shops, fundraising at home or at work, holding an event, opening their garden to the public or taking part in one of the many sponsored activities organised by our dedicated fundraising team.
